Calling her the
more qualified candidate in her race for re-election to
the Illinois House of Representatives, the Sierra Club of
Illinois recently announced its endorsement of State Representative
Rosemary Mulligan (R-Des Plaines) for the Nov. 5th General
Election in the newly-drawn 65th Representative District.
The Sierra Club
of Illinois selected Mulligan based on her ongoing commitment
to establishing and maintaining a clean and healthy environment,
and is confident that she would continue introducing and
supporting legislation designed to accomplish the overall
objective of preserving the environment in her district
and the State of Illinois. “I have always been an
advocate for cleaner environment, and the Sierra Club continues
to do a magnificent job within our communities,” said
Mulligan.
Mulligan, first
elected in 1992, is currently serving her fifth term in
the Illinois House. The Sierra Club, a national organization
dedicated to preserving a clean and healthy environment
through grassroots activism, was founded in 1892, and has
established chapters throughout the United States and Canada.
